Well, fellow bloggers, I have some spectacular news. I opened my mission call last night and that was awesome. First of all, I wish I hadn't gone home at lunch to see if it was sitting in the mail box. I would have been really disappointed had it not been, but yesterday was one of the longest days of my life since I knew the darn thing was sitting on my bed keeping my secret. 5:15 couldn't come fast enough! But alas, it finally did. I stopped at Harmon's for beverages, scooped up Amos on the way to my house and immediately had the envelope in my hand and would keep it there... until the Glee-a-Thon started.
My dad had a big map laid out for everyone to put stickers with their guesses on.
When I finally opened it, the first words I spotted on the actual call were "Brazil Missionary Training Center" or something like that. Oh my gosh. WHAT? When I got the call in the mail today I just felt like I was for sure going stateside. It just...felt that way. Boy, was I wrong.
So, officially:
I will be serving in the TERESINA
BRAZIL MISSION. I enter the Brazil
MTC on June 23, 2010.
And yes, the humidity and heat will probably kill me.
